Just here in the village of Chideock we have a ‘local’ pub The George Inn. Only a 5 minute walk from the cottages you can enjoy a warm welcome from Jamie & Amy and the team.
A 15 minute walk from our cottages will lead you to the very popular Anchor Inn. Here you can enjoy a beer from the selection of real ales from Palmer’s Brewery while watching the sea roll in. The Anchor Inn serves fabulous locally sourced food, including delicious seafood dishes.
The Olive Tree offers delicious food. their food is locally sourced where possible. You will notice a feel of Italian and French cuisine too. They have a wonderful selections of local wine.
Rachel’s is a seafood kiosk on the harbour at West Bay. They serve whatever has come out of the sea that day. This can include Crab, Bass, Prawns, Mussels, Sole, locally dived scallops and much more. They have also taken into account that not everyone eats fish, so an alternative menu is on offer.
What a great train to catch. The food experience here is amazing. Not only are you sitting in a very quirky train carriage, you are served amazing food. The chefs at The Station Kitchen serve local and sustainable seafood, as well as grass fed beef and lots of fresh homegrown produce. This is a journey you wont forget.
