Gingerbread Cottage sleeps up to 3 and you can see much of the same 'Chiddy Nook' charm here too. You'll love the many character features including exposed beams and window seats.
The Burrow
The Burrow in the Warren is a beautiful, thatched, stone-built self catering cottage, situated in Chideock near Bridport, in West Dorset. Sleeping 4 people.

If you are a Broadchurch follower you will recognise that nearby West Bay is Broadchurch, with the distinctive east cliffs and other stunning locations where the recent hit TV show was filmed.

Beautiful surroundings, lovely house, clean and tidy. Our stay was fantastic and the hosts were friendly and very welcoming. Nothing was too much for them, even gave us a gift of cream tea for all 3 of us. Had a great stay. Even a lovely sound of bells from the church on Sunday. The Clock Inn 2 minutes walk away was warm and friendly. Definitely worth staying and would recommend to anyone. Just a heads up if unsteady on feet the stairs are a bit steep. Also small bedroom has no window but other than that loved the upstairs bathroom, big bedroom, kitchen with the wide window sills and the downstairs shower was awesome.

Lovely house , very clean. Comfortable beds. Very small kitchen but two bathrooms. I'm disabled and I found the location to be very hilly. My fault for not researching properly. Also had to bring my two dogs and it was far too hot for them to be out in the sun. Local beach banned dogs for the summer so couldn't take them in the evening. As a result I spent our stay there in the garden with the dogs ( they aren't allowed to stay in the house unattended which is a pity ) Again my mistake. My daughter and grandson enjoyed the break though. They went to the fossil museum ( very expensive for what it is ) and went swimming in the sea at the local beach and searched for fossils. We had food at the Clock Inn on our first night. Was expensive for what it was. So we didn't do that again. The kitchen was well equipped but Be careful with kettle as the lid falls off when you pour. Internet could be better. Jane helped us with all our queries . Recommend if you are fit and have no dogs.

Such a lovely house in a beautifully relaxing environment. Jane gave us all the information we needed and more. Walk to the lovely beach was about 20 minutes and the food and hospitality at The Anchor was perfect. Small SPAR very close or Felicity’s farm shop a two minute car journey. Got the bus to Lyme Regis from very close to the house. Had some nice conversations with Jane’s neighbours who were very welcoming. Such a nice stay in a perfect environment.

We had a wonderful stay at The Burrow. The property is perfectly located for easy access to the beach, Bridport and West Bay. We walked down to the beach and The Anchor pub several times, including returning in the dark, and felt completely safe. It’s a lovely, quiet road/bridleway with very little traffic.The cliffs above the beach are an easy walk and offer stunning views from the top.The property itself is beautiful, exceptionally well maintained, spotlessly clean and incredibly well equipped, with everything you could possibly need. The thoughtful extra touches really made a difference and helped make our stay especially comfortable.Inside, it feels surprisingly spacious, with bathrooms both upstairs and downstairs. One thing to be aware of is that access to the master bedroom, single bedroom & upstairs bathroom is through the second double bedroom. We would definitely stay at The Burrow again and highly recommend it.

We came for a girls trip with my mother and daughter, and had the perfect stay. Great location, walkable to the beach and pubs. Easy to get to Lyme Regis etc. We loved the garden, with the birds at the feeder and beautiful surroundings. Inside was very cosy and bedrooms very comfortable.
